Hi Trula,

I found your blog searching the net for how to wash clean my daughter dreads. She has had them since 2 and now 5 as may be imaged I don't force her to cover her head only at night but she is a terrible sleeper and the head tie ends up anywhere but on her head.

Although I wash her hair every two / three weeks the scalp and roots are clean but did not know how to get the locks clean. And being 5 she is into all sorts and her hair get very dirty.

I have recently had my twists interlocked and my techician mentioned vinginer so I will try it on her. I wasn't sure at first but lookin at your heathly clean dreads it surely works.

I cannot wait to see the results!

Hi quincy! I’m so sorry about the late reply, I missed seeing your comment. No, I do not do hair but it sounds like you are over-twisting your locks.

I do not have dreads, but I have been natural since 2004. I am so glad to see so many of us opting to keep our hair in its natural state.
