Another Dreadlock Twist/Bun Style

Trula Dreadlocks November 2007

As you may know my hair is VERY long, nearly long enough to sit on. I have been wanting to trim my locks to an even belly-button length but my husband asked me to not cut my hair. So I have been experimenting around with different ways to put my hair up as I am tired of my old bun style.

This is just my locks pulled back into a simple loose semi-bun. Knotted loop stopped hair from falling down but it looks very loose and casual. Hair wrap over loose hair in front. In this style hair fell to breast-length and was kept out of my way.

  1. I actually have a question, I am about to dye my dreads which are pretty long, hanging down my back and I orignally dyed with black henna maybe about 2-3 years ago, but I want a dramatic change and would like to dye them a couple of shades of warm honeys and browns, do you have any advice on it as I am doing it myself with a friend.

  2. If you want a thorough dye you can use regular over the counter hair dyes. Just pick the color you want and follow the instructions on the box.
