Dread Mama’s Cowrie Shells November 2008

Dread Mama's Cowrie Shells November 2008

Tried to get a close-up of some of my cowrie shells. I sew then directly into my dreads. After awhile, a few years or sew, the threads weaken and the shells fall out. At one point in time I had over 20 shells in my locks, now I have 11. I’m thinking about adding more, but I also have a few beads too. hmmmmm, what do you think?
