Locking Up Front of My Hair Part 3

Loose Hair dreadmama.net

Yah, I decided to lock up the front of my hair. I’ve kept it loose and short for years because I liked to change up my hairstyle. This is after I washed my hair and picked out the front and did it up in little twists. VERY SIMPLE & EASY TO DO, if you can braid, you can make a twist. you just use two sections of hair instead of three. If you have naturally curly hair, just twist it down tot he every ends and leave alone; the ends will curl up and hold the twist. If you have naturally straight hair, you will probably need to use clips or barrettes or rubber bands to hold the twists together. This is an excellent way to dreadlock naturally thick and curly hair. It’s a so-so way to locks naturally straight hair.

  1. Trula: are you saying that you can start dreadlocks with naturally curly hair just by doing a two-strand twist and leaving them alone? Do they naturally “lock” on their own. Do you have to re-twist the new growth? I am thinking about sister locks; however the tightening process seems more difficult than regular two-strand twist locks. What do you think?

  2. Hi betty boop, yes, you can start naturally curly hair just by doing two-strand twists.
