My first set of dreadlocks, 1993. I started these in 1992. I wore a black scarf tied around my head, that’s not my hair hanging down it’s the scarf edges. The front of my hair was locked at the time too. I was 21! You couldn’t tell me then I wasn’t a grown Trula, LOL. My daughter took this pic.

Check me out! This is me in 1994, early September. This is my first set of dreadlocks, the ones I cut off in 1997. I was also pregnant with s-bop in this photo; he was born early November 1994. Whenever people don’t believe me that I didn’t know I was pregnant, I show them this pic.
