Hi everyone, please forgive my long absence. I recently went back to school to get my teacher licensure and have beena little wrapped up with that. I’m getting adjusted to the schedule and everything so I’m able to put more time in here at Dread Mama. I’m changing the layout to the blog very soon, and also making it a free community blog! Made Some Plastic Dread Beads

I made some plastic beads for my dreads out of blue plastic grocery bags. I’m going to work on the process, really refine my technique then make a bunch to sell. I really like these!

Getting Back Into Blogging

hello all, it’s been a while! Dread Mama’s been going through some things. But I’m back and feeling better, and am committed to blogging often and adding to the site. I did twist up the front of my hair to lock and it’s coming along nicely. I will have pics soon…I lost my camera! soon as I find it will take some new pics. Twists with a Bun

My hair is so long I can sit on it so as you can imagine it can get cumbersome. This is how I usually wear it; tossed up in a bun
